For most of us, Easter is the day we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, but for the children, it’s all about the Easter egg hunts. Saturday, April 7, the Wadena Chamber of Commerce will host the Wadena’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. The event starts at 1:00 p.m. sharp at the softball complex on the south side of Wadena. You may even want to be five or ten minutes early, as the hunt goes by very quickly, lasting only about 10 to 15 minutes. This is a fun event for all children between the ages of 1 and 10. Kids will be divided into three groups. Ages one to three will go to the horseshoe pits, ages 4 to 6 will go to the softball field and ages 7 to 10 will hunt in the trees. When the whistle blows, the children will able to start hunting for the 14,000 candy filled eggs! Come join the fun, and remember don’t be late!
